I-9 Violations

http://money.cnn.com/2018/01/15/news/economy/ice-immigration-work-site-crackdown/index.html

An I-9 form is used to verify the identity and the employment authorization of an individual that is going to be hired for employment in the United States. Employees and employers must fill out the form and the employee has to prove that he is able to work in the United States. Trump is talking about doing more I-9 inspections at different business places in order to crack down on employees and employers. The Obama administration mainly focused on people who committed crimes while the Trump administration is focusing on all sorts of immigration. It talks about how if employers violate the I-9 then that means that they could get fined a certain amount of money ranging from $600 to $22,000. It is shown that in the year 2017 the fines that ICE got from businesses was the highest one that they have had. It is said that staffing agencies are the highest targets for ICE because they always get people looking for jobs that get fake papers. It is disappointing that people come here looking for a better tomorrow and instead they come here and get treated horribly.
