The White House held a meeting in order to discuss the current situation of the people who will be affected by DACA ending in March. The meeting was attended by the President and other law makers of both the Republican and Democratic parties whose goal is to come to some sort of deal. Trump wants to handle immigration with a two step program. First, he wants the wall to be built and then he wants to grant a sort of pathway for 11 million people to gain their citizenship. He believes that with the wall the United States will have more security. After the meeting the lawmakers that attended agreed to meet again and to discuss the possibilities of a visa lottery program for Dreamers and a "chain reaction" which then gives visas to the family members of the people winning the visas in the lottery. The article also discussed the issues of Trump is going to end the protection of 200,000 Salvadorians who live in the United States Legally under the Temporary Protection Status Program. It also talks about Trump maybe ending the visa lottery program and adding more funding to the TPS (Temporary Protection Status) as a negotiation with the Democratic Party.
